FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is your closet taking over your bedroom? Are you downsizing, moving, simplifying your life? Need money, spring cleaning or going green? If any of these describe you, than the following is what you need to know to get started.

Consignment Times

• Merchandise is accepted Monday through Thursday from 11-9, although mornings are best. Weekend hours are available with an advanced appointment.
• There is a 5 piece minimum for all new consignors and never a maximum.
• Consignment can also be sent by UPS or postal service with prior notification. Unacceptable items will either be donated or returned at your cost. Please contact us before shipping.

Acceptable Consignment

• We are not a vintage shop. We specialize in the resale of pristine, pre-owned, contemporary designer clothing, shoes, handbags and amazing accessories.
• We accept items seasonally. All merchandise must be clean, fresh, and in perfect condition. Preferably on hangers. The nicer your items look the more money you will make.
• Items are hand selected and everything must be new or next to new. We are a small boutique and are known for being very selective. Sometimes there will be items we cannot sell. Please understand that our customer's preferences must be our selection guidelines.

• Uncleaned, unpressed, or stained clothing. We do not dryclean, press, or steam
• Dated items
• Maternity and bridal gowns
• Children's anything

• Hermes, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Pucci, Chloe, Christian Louboutin, Balenciaga, Goyard, Fendi, Marc Jacobs, DVF, YSL, Manolo Blahnik, Dior, D&G. Not that we name drop or anything. If you are unsure if your things are for us, please do not hesitate to call.

Pricing

• We set our prices based on the following criteria: label, condition, age, and demand. Our goal is to get the best possible price for you.
• We reserve the right to markdown prices at any time without consulting consignor.
• Our split is 45% to consignors.
• Items without labels are difficult to sell and pricing is at our discretion although exceptions can be made.

• Checks are mailed the second week of every month for items sold the prior month. (In the summer months, we pay every two months).
• If you have items put aside to be reclaimed, your check will be held in the store until items are picked up.

Sales Period

• Items are displayed for 90 days. After 100 days, it is consignors responsibility to reclaim any unsold items. We do not call you.
• Unsold items will be donated and /or become property of Consign of the Times at end of agreement period.

Responsibility of Merchandise

• Unsold items can be held to be reclaimed no longer than the 100th day (there is a 10 day grace period). Call us ahead of time and we will have them ready for you.
• Any unclaimed/unsold items will become property of Consign of the Times and will be disposed of accordingly.
• We pledge to do our best to safeguard your items, but we are not responsible for damage or loss.
